First off before I forget yet again, Diligence is the Site of the Month over at Revenged: MCR Web Directory!!! Thanks so much, Maria!
Now onto the articles
My Chemical Romance Spooked By Ashlee
MORE?
My Chemical Romance know a thing or two about creepy videos. Have you seen the death march in ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’? But that doesn’t mean the theatrical rockers don’t get spooked by others from time to time. In fact, it doesn’t take much.
From Jersey, in Black Leather and Eyeliner
MORE?
My Chemical Romance has an odd mystique. It is a tortured, blackly funny pop-punk band with a death fetish and a taste for bulletproof vests and marching-band uniforms. It takes its flamboyant theatricality from 70’s glam rock, its ghoulish style from the 80’s goth scene and its sense of generational affliction from 90’s grunge. But the result is a darkly contemporary vision that has inspired a cultish army of young, raw-nerved misfits.
Thanks to Lora for sending me the link for the Black Leather and Eyeliner article <3
Also if you happen have an opinion/review/rant regarding the new released, The Black Parade, please feel free to send it to me and I will put up a page so everyone else can read them as well. For example how many fans are out there who are sick of hearing the comparisons of TBP to Green Day’s American Idiot? I admit that I love American Idiot, but I wish people would be able to see each album for what they provide the public. They are not the same, just because they both used the same director for their videos and producer for the record does not mean they are the same at all.
And expect a full review of the album with scans of the limited edition to be posted as soon as I have some time to sit down and digest everything for you all!

Chemical Warfare
[ source: Top of the Pops ]
So, according to the Daily Mail, My Chemical Romance are the leaders of a dangerous cult that you may have heard of called ‘Emo’, which is a sub-cult of ‘Goth’ and involves cutting yourself and showing off about it to your friends, or something.
So it’s probably going to be a bit mystifying to them that the band should have taken the time to write a song specifically about the way guns are spoiling teenage lives in America. And not because they just can’t get the right colour of bullets either.
Newly-blonded singer Gerard Way has been telling the NME about their new song ‘Teenagers’, which is inspired by the rise and rise of gun crime in the US.
He said: “That song almost didn’t fit on the record but it’s a topic that’s so important to our culture. It’s about a really big problem in America where kids are killing kids. The only thing I learnt in high school is that people are very violent and territorial.”
See, and you thought having two history lessons back-to-back was bad…
